I’m a writer turned creative director turned agency owner who’s currently in-house ECD at Palo Alto Networks. But, first and foremost, I’m a problem solver.
In my 30-plus years of advertising experience, I’ve created successful campaigns for consumer brands like Apple, Acura, Dignity Health and LinkedIn, and B2B brands like Genentech, Bridge Bank and T-Mobile. I’ve launched businesses, revitalized brands, and helped successful organizations become even more successful. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of great people who helped me win a lot of big awards—One Show pencils, Gold Clios and Gold Cannes Lions, CA, British D&AD, and EFFIEs for marketing effectiveness.
As a leader, I’ve managed teams within big agencies and guided as many as 50 of my own agency staff. Owning and managing an agency for 23 years prepared me well for the responsibilities of building and running an in-house creative department. It’s also served me well in managing and motivating agency partners, whose shoes I have lived in. And while l love to lead, I still find my greatest joy in creating smart, engaging work that comes out of my own head.
This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you a little bit about my personal life, but we can talk about that over coffee or Zoom. If you have a problem to solve, we can talk about that, too.
